Eternal Cool

This photo is to me his most iconic. I love the look. It's the details such as the Persol sunglass he has on, or the driving gloves. It's a candid moment that I can relate to. Ask any of my friends and they will without a doubt back up the statement that I talk about Steve McQueen a lot. It's not because we share a last name, but because what man doesn't look up to him?
This photo seems a little cocky to me. Like he is very satisfied. I often hold my hand to my chin when I'm talking, listening, or just sitting in silence. So always. It's a small piece of this photo, but I think that why people end up enjoying photographs so much. They can relate.

Classic Styling

A look that some work so hard to achieve done so easily by someone who's life requires such a look. It's fantastic how a timeless look can come from necessity.

A Drink To Go Out On

So it's already the 21st in Australia and unless I've missed something and they are all on fire over there, then I think it's safe to say we're good. But, for those few who are still a little superstitious and believe the world is going to end in a few hours then here are a few cocktails that are well suited to put you in a joyful apocalyptic spirit.
One thing is certain though. If the world does end and John Cusack doesn't save us from our watery graves by getting us across the world by way of random aircraft and monks, then we will all be rid of Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift. Bright side.

Classic Styling

What better perspective than a shot of Paul Newman looking so very how we all would like to look always.
It shows how style has changed and how are we are trying to change it back.
These days we would see those notepads and folders in his hand still being just that. With the exception of maybe an iPad thrown in for good measure.
Paul Newman is in my book as a style icon, that's for sure. Bow to a king.

Crye for it.

When it comes to buying shirts that fit, sometimes it can prove difficult if you don't know what you're looking for. If you are a beginner and you are looking to improve upon your style, but don't know where to start then this is a great spot.
These guys give you an abundance of options that are easy to understand. Just take a look at the sizing chart to see exactly what I mean.
The price is in the right spot to where it wont break the bank to get a few at a time. I plan on buying from Hugh & Crye often. I think you should as well.

Good Look #11

Marooned

I've written about red or shades of red being an excellent statement in the past, but as an accent. As of lately there have been more and more people using maroon in their suiting.
Some as simple as a suit jacket and others as a full three piece. Whatever the case, it is an excellent look. In no way, shape or form is it the "New Black". Black is and always will be the perfect color for a suit, but maroon certainly is elegant.
Below are examples that I believe to be the most well executed.

Treating Both Leathers

As men we have an insatiable need to do things ourselves. I am no different. These days it goes much further than just power tools and stringing the Christmas lights though. Men are forming more and more of a sense of fashion everyday and the "Do It Yourself" mentality come right along with it. In honor of our instincts, I have two videos that show fantastic ways to treat your shoes and your face. Enjoy.

The Week In Photos

Towards the end of each week I like to rid my desktop of clutter. Mainly photos. Pictures that didn't make the cut for Good Look or inspiration I want to put on Pinterest. So, I have decided to make use of the Trash Bin bound pieces and share them with all of you. These are things I have found interesting, inspiring, noteworthy and provocative to my style.

If The Shoe Fits

I like to indulge. Sometimes too much.
When it comes to clothing, for me it had evolved from what the trends were and pieces that I know will be out of style within two year to a closet of things that I can wear that will be timeless.
That is how I shop. I look for things that I will still love years down the road.
I believe I have found a collection. A full collection that is the epitome of that mindset. Seeing as this is their first clothing line in the almost 118 years the company has been around, one can only imagine the ideas for a collection that have been swimming around in that house and then having it all come to fruition. I am of course talking about the fall collection by Alessandro Santori for Berluti. The shoe company that has created masterpieces of footwear for people like Andy Warhol and Yves Saint Laurent.
Here a a few shots from the collection that I really enjoyed.
